The 8th Teaching and Learning Festival: Student as Partners (SaP) Symposium

The 8th Teaching and Learning Festival features a Student as Partners (SaP) symposium themed, Beyond Co-creation in Teaching and Learning: Sustaining Student-Teacher Collaboration, hosted by Dr. Peter Lau, Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre, HKU. This symposium is co-organised with HKUST, HKBU, HERDSA HK Branch, with the support of a UGC-funded project, Co-creating the Future of Education.

About the Symposium
Co-Creation is experiential in itself as knowledge and skills are acquired through active participation, collaboration and reflection on experiences. In this symposium, the keynote speaker, Professor Alison Cook-Sather (Director of the Teaching and Learning Institute, Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges, USA) will revisit definitions of co-creation and consider how to shift from embracing co-creation as a project orientation to conceptualizing it as a perpetual mindset to inform practice. Colleagues and students from HKU, HKBU, HKUST and CUHK will showcase their SaP initiatives (such as curriculum innovation, UG research, etc.) and share how they sustain the partnership and impacts and go beyond project settings. Through a series of discussions and practical examples, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of how co-creation can transform the teaching and learning process into a more interactive, engaging, and enriching experience. This symposium is an excellent opportunity for educators, students, and all interested parties to engage in meaningful dialogue about the power of partnership in education.
